Smart Policy Assist (SPA) is an ML based solution based on Amazon Web Services (AWS) that allows policy makers to obtain insights from large unstructured data sets quickly.
SPA leverages machine learning solutions found in Amazon's SageMaker Natural Language Processing (NLP) methodologies and text processing, where we identify and organize information by reading, analyzing, and comparing policy comment submissions in an effort to aid policy makers in their decision making processes.
The Smart Policy Assist User Interface is hosted using Amazon Elastic Container Service that enables Policy makers to ingest Policy documents to Amazon s3 Buckets that are then made available to our NLP and Text processing components. SPA then consolidates the results to back end systems via Amazon Athena and provides insights back to the policy makers via the User Interface that is tightly integrated with Amazon Quicksight.
